About Campden Oak Herringbone

Campden has a fresh, sandy oak colour with a light honeyed warmth. The grain is soft and flowing, with long straight lines, the occasional gentle arch and only a few tiny knots. Colour varies very little from plank to plank, so the herringbone reads as a calm, bright texture rather than a busy one. The matt finish is close to the look of raw or lightly oiled oak, and the overall effect is relaxed and Scandinavian.

Use it to lift north-facing living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens. It sits well beside white walls, warm greys, cane and rattan, natural linen and pale oak furniture, and gives sage, cream or soft blue kitchens a warm base. Being light, it also helps a hallway feel more open.

In 128 x 615mm planks, the herringbone is neat and traditional, adding interest to smaller rooms and period homes without overwhelming them. The same colour also comes as a plank, so the look can carry on into the next room.

It is 100% waterproof. The rigid stone-composite core clicks together and floats over the subfloor with the underlay already attached, and a 0.5mm wear layer copes with everyday family life.

Frequently asked questions about Campden Oak Herringbone

How many packs of Campden Oak Herringbone do I need?

Each pack covers 2.05 m². Measure the floor area, add 15% for cutting, as patterned floors need more cuts than plank, then divide by 2.05 and round up. For a 15 m² room that is 9 packs.

Is Campden Oak Herringbone waterproof?

Yes. It is a 100% waterproof vinyl floor, so it suits kitchens, bathrooms, utility rooms and hallways.

Can Campden Oak Herringbone go over underfloor heating?

Yes. It is suitable for underfloor heating, water or electric, up to a floor surface temperature of 27°C.

Can I fit it myself?

It is the quickest GF floor to fit: the planks click together and float over the subfloor, and the underlay is already attached. The subfloor still needs to be flat, clean and dry, with a 6–8mm expansion gap at every wall. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

What is SPC flooring?

SPC stands for stone plastic composite. It is a rigid core made mostly from limestone powder, with a printed design and a clear wear layer on top. It is harder and more stable than flexible vinyl, and it is 100% waterproof.

What guarantee does it have?

It has a lifetime residential guarantee, which means 35 years from the date of purchase. To keep the GF guarantee, follow the GF installation guide and use a competent professional fitter.

Can I order a free sample?

Yes. You can order up to five free samples, and we aim to send them within 3 to 5 days, so you can see the colour in your own light before you buy.
